A quick back story, a while ago I worked for another marketing agency and I realized we HAD to have the customers images and videos in their social medias, stock images were NOT going to cut it if we wanted these pieces of content to convert. So what did I do? I set a new standard.
Now 6 years later, here I am, faced with a new obstacle... Create content that ranks online. That's the goal.
How do I explain GEO, SEO AND AEO to customers so think organic content will just solve their problem?! Hopefully they like reading blogs.
Let's talk about GEO. Generative Engine Optimization. Let's be honest, the bots aren't exactly fact checking everything...
They're putting out, what you've put out there.
If someone is searching your state, the name of your company, and what you do, your posts should generate somewhere on the page.
What platforms are showing up the most on GEO?
Currently, as of September 2026, most research points to Reddit, Linked in & Youtube.
My suggestion would be to focus on those 3-platforms ALTHOUGH instagram is still very, very popular. Remember, most accounts are there to prove you're in business.
As long as your page doesn't have a "virtual cobweb" it's safe to create on any platform you want to create with.
Here are some ideas to pop-up in your area's search:
"How much does window replacement cost in Nashville, Tennessee?"
"How much does it cost to hire a videographer in Utah?"
"Should I hire a re-modeling company or is it cheaper to do it myself?"
Answer questions people are searching for, and create your content around that.
